BPECC Mission Statement

  BPECC was founded to involve professionals in preserving public health, by protection of the drinking water through cross-connection control and backflow prevention. The Council is committed to providing approved educational programs, technical assistance, and public awareness in the field of backflow prevention.

  Welcome to the Backflow Prevention Education Council of Colorado (BPECC) website, it is our hope that this site can become the informational center of the Colorado cross-connection control industry. The Council has been in operation since 1984, incorporated in 1991, and was formally known as the "Advisory Committee". So while the name and logo are new, we are the same non-profit organization that brought you the Colorado Cross-Connection Control Manual, and advise the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) on cross-connection and backflow prevention issues.

  We are also refocusing our efforts for the cross-connection scene in Colorado. There are many exciting ideas that have been implemented with this site, one being a calendar of cross-connection events throughout the state, region and country; another is a listing of backflow technicians available for contract testing by geographical region (a service that is highly requested by consumers), we are in the process of adding Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's), and are creating a page of Water Purveyor Requirements for Backflow Technicians. This site is will undergo many changes in the near future, so visit often, we have great things to come!
